How Does Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation Work?
Laser vaginal rejuvenation with FemiLift is an in-office treatment that generally takes around 30 minutes to finish. During this noninvasive treatment, we'll pass the FemiLift device over the exterior of the labia and vulvar tissues. In some cases, we may insert the wand into the vagina as it emits radiofrequency (RF) energy to the inside of the vagina, naturally tightening the area. The FemiLift device has an internal thermometer so we can adjust the temperature and emit bursts of cool air to prevent damage to your skin and keep you comfortable. One of the benefits of this procedure is there is virtually no downtime associated with it, and you can return to your normal everyday routine after you leave our office. For best results, we generally recommend you receive three treatments spaced about a month apart. Many of our patients start to notice results after two sessions, but generally, you'll notice your results within about three months of your procedure. Your results can last anywhere between 12 – 18 months. We suggest getting yearly follow-up treatments to maintain your results.

How much tighter will my vagina look after laser vaginal rejuvenation?
The results of laser vaginal rejuvenation will vary from patient to patient based on a number of individual factors, including the patient's age, degree of vaginal laxity, and others. While many patients achieve a significant improvement in the tightness of both their internal and external vaginal tissues, it is important to keep in mind that it may not be possible to completely reverse vaginal changes associated with aging and/or childbirth. Prior to treatment, our providers can help walk you through what to expect with laser vaginal rejuvenation and what level of results may be possible for you.
When can I have sex again after laser vaginal rejuvenation?
In the majority of cases, patients enjoy minimal - if any - downtime following laser vaginal rejuvenation and can resume the bulk of their normal daily routines almost immediately after treatment. Sexual intercourse and tampon use may be advised against for a few days after treatment, however, to ensure complete healing. At the time of your treatment, our knowledgeable team will discuss all of your laser vaginal rejuvenation aftercare instructions at length and answer any questions you may have about when it will be safe and appropriate to resume sexual activity once again.
How long do the results of laser vaginal rejuvenation last?
Again, there are several variables that can impact both the level of improvement achieved with laser vaginal rejuvenation and the longevity of your results. On average, however, patients should expect to enjoy their enhancements for about 12-18 months before a repeat maintenance treatment round may be appropriate.
